'Merica pride

Red, White, and Blue filling the streets, my social media sites, and even the food in my kitchen I can't believe my favorite holiday is over! Sitting, dripping in our sweat, we watched a parade, enjoyed A LOT of great food, spent time with our best friends (which for us is our family!), got a nap in, and cuddled up and watched fireworks! These two were dying of heat, but they are best buds and stick together!
My very best friend! Can't imagine spending it with anyone else!
I just love this boy, and everything he does for me!
Sitting at fireworks, Terry put his arm around me and whispered "Baby do you ever think of how blessed we are?" "EVERY DAY!!" "Another reason I love you. Every day you remind me of who to thank for the blessings in my life" I can't help but get a little emotional, listening to the music, fireworks, and looking at my surroundings realizing I am blessed I get to spend it with the people I love. The day that I am grateful for so many reasons, and every year it seems to humble me and give me a reality check!
Biggest and most important part of my day was being thankful for our soldiers. One of our really good friends is currently over serving our country, he's homesick, misses his family, friends, Utah in general. We face time at least once a week, email a few times a week, but it's not the same. We miss him as much as he misses us. Terry and him are best buds, and he has become my "brother". We miss him, but also incredibly grateful for his service.
Another thank you goes out to my Grandpa for serving out country during WWII. He has told some intense stories to his children, and grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He still gets emotional when he talks about them. I truly don't know how he survived most of the stories he tells, except to live a tell, and raise some pretty amazing children (my mom being my favorite of course!). Thank you to those who made a sacrifice so we could be where we are today, those that continue to fight for our freedom, and those that will in the future.

PC fun

This weekend was amazing! Friday night we headed up to Oakley to celebrate Miles' birthday with him and Ally. We enjoyed the beautiful drive up the canyon, played ping pong, went on a night drive on the four wheelers, cuddled up by a fire, and enjoyed a movie. It was perfect! The next morning we made breakfast, watched some ESPN, went on multiple four wheeler drives on the 150 acres Miles owns, shot some guns, jumped on the tramp, and enjoyed being "kids" Later that afternoon we met up with my family and the Kimballs (our second family/best friends) in Park City and rode the Alpine Slide, the Coaster, and some dip 'n' dots! We had a great time just walking around and enjoying the company! My Aunt had called earlier that day asking if she could take the fam to dinner, Terry and Shaun didn't object to a free dinner at Cafe Rio, and Terry got to meet almost my entire extended family! We took over the Rio on 4th but I loved being surrounded by so many familiar loving faces! It was great seeing so many of my cousins in town from California and it didn't take long for Shaun and Terry to agree for us to take a vacay out there for them to spoil us! We can't wait! The boys were done socializing after the first hour so we agreed to meet at my sisters house and play a round of Monopoly. Terry won AGAIN, and we were all exhausted from playing in the heat all day! Sundays are spent with my family and this week we decided to have a water fight after out three hour naps! The girls cried, Shaun soaked every single one of us, and Mia even "ran away" to the park because "Daddy got me wet!" Oh my nieces are party poopers, but we still managed to have fun and end the night with our weekly episode of Kardashians, and then movie night pick was Safe Haven!

I truly am so blessed to have such good friends, an incredible family, and an amazing man!

Seattle

Mariners vs. Yankees! This boy couldn't stop smiling! He was loving life, and the Yanks won 3-1 which made him even more happy!
Terry's dad wrote this on the graffiti wall in a cute ice cream parlor
Outside of the beach house
We fell in love with little baby Abraham, Terry is now baby hungry
He was in heaven
These two were happy boys!
We made it on the Jumbo screen! (I've now been on MLB, NCAA Football, NCAA Basketball, NFL, NBA, and NHL!)
We had a great night relaxing, enjoying the amazing view, and I curled up and read a book outside!
No words can ever describe how much I love this man!
The view of the ocean on our back patio will never get old
He loved being a kid again
The Naval Base was intriguing!
I've been craving a root beer float for about 2 months so the babe surprised me with one to enjoy on the plane!
We went to a candlelit French retaurant to celebrate!
Patiently waiting for graduation to start!
We had an amazing time shopping, whale watching, enjoying the real Seattle, Terry and I had a photo shoot there we can't wait to see how it turned out, ate so much food, and bonding with the family! Thank you Jim and Jennifer for spoiling us the entire time!

Up and at it

Ran a 5K as Alanas running buddy!
This nugget wants to play with her daddy and Terry
Terry and Alana at the water park! We usually do Sunday Hikes as a family but that week was to hot to bear the heat, we all had a blast!
Alana made us S'mores as we played Monopoly (Terry's favorite weekly family activity!)
Mia and her medal for the 5k!
Sleepovers with this girl make my day!
That one time I was babysitting and we were stranded with no carseat! Nap time was probably a better choice than our intended plans for that day!
LOVE the nights this boy makes dinner! He does such an amazing job!
They were so yummy and he had no idea what he was even doing! I just gave him the instructions!
Our pretty roses from my Dads house. We wanted to steal all the rose bushes they were all so beautiful!

Spontaneous

I've come to the realization that if we don't take any pictures I am horrible about blogging about it....Last Friday night for date night I took Terry to a Hawaiian grill, he was in LOVE! He ate more of my chicken than I did, but better the calories for him than me! After we got home, we made a treat, popped in a movie, and snuggled up under the blanket! After a workout, some Saturday cleaning, and some errands we headed to Star Trek. To be honest I was not happy about going, but it was free! Free tickets, free vouchers for food, and a free $20 gift card to the theatre I figured I better change my attitude and be thankful that he works for such a great company! Thankfully the movie was better than expected! Sunday afternoons are made for catching up at my sisters house. I absolutely love spending time with those hooligans, watching TV, playing games, making treats, crafts, whatever it is, Sundays are sure to be a good time! Alana has asked me to be her running buddy in the elementary girls 5K for all the elementary schools in Salt Lake County. Yesterday was the practice run, it was so fun to run with one of my best friends! After that Terry and I babysat for my sis and Shaun while they went out to dinner for their anniversary. Terry and Mia are best buds and to tear the two of them apart is impossible. We picked up dinner, then I had to pay "mom duty" and get Alana started on her homework, and Mia entertained (with Terry there it wasn't hard!). When they got home from dinner we were outside playing and Shaun decided that we should go to Boondocks! So at 8 last night we all packed in the car and headed over! Shaun and Terry played "Deal or No Deal" the entire time! I went up to one game and said "I used to be so good at this one!" put my token in and won the Jackpot! The girls had fun playing all sorts of arcade games, and we all won about 800 tickets all together! We had fun picking out prizes for everyone! Terry and I picked out a little mini basketball hoop/basketball to hang on the back of the door! Once we got back home Terry said "Is that what it was like when you lived with them? Spontaneous nights?" "HAHA yes! And you had to go even if you didn't want to!" "Dang babe, why'd you move out? Tonight was fun, can't wait to hang out with them all weekend!" Mental note: get a lot of rest this weekend so you have energy for everyone's plans coming up! Thanks fam for such a fun night!
